Learn the rules of Yukon Solitaire

Start Yukon Solitaire by looking at the playing area and its controls. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Look at what changes after your first action. Check the rule that explains your first action. Use the example below to understand a decision.

One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.

A small practice goal

Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow. Make the next step deliberately.

The challenge in front of you

Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

The steps to play

  1. Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Your inputs

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. A new-round button replaces the current round.

One way to understand the rules

A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Notice the change in the playing area.

An important reminder

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use.
