THE PLAYBOOK · XJFDJSZP

Read before your next round of Bubble Shooter

Start Bubble Shooter by looking at the playing area and its controls. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Look at what changes after your first action.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

Something to practise

When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Aim for this result

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Take a moment to understand the current position.

Work through the instructions

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Your inputs

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

Try this example

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Notice the change in the playing area.

Notice this detail

Contact with a different colour is not a match. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
